Unexpected and Unwanted Nature Study

Some days our lovely discoveries out in nature aren’t really quite what we were hoping for.  Today was one of those days!  There were two Black Widow Spiders this same size!  Each had a huge egg sack!  AAHHH!

  1. OH ACK, Jacob killed on crawling in a hole in his garden ACK!

  2. Oh my goodness! Just looking at that picture gives me the shivers!

  3. Hi there, I was wondering that in this situation do you A) leave said deadly spider alone since you studied it, or B) kill it because, as we covered, said spider is deadly?
    :) Thanks!

  4. JuJu, Since the icky (dangerous) spiders were in an area that people and children are in frequently (in addition to our pets), we killed them and flushed their egg sacks down the toilet. We didn't want potentially hundreds of little baby black widows moving in.

We are happy to let any creature stay in it's own environment, once they enter ours, it's conditional.
