Book Review in Poem: The Bronze Bow

As I was packing today for our move, I came across this from 2004.  It’s a poem that my oldest son, Michael wrote about the book – The Bronze Bow by Elizabeth George Speare. He was 11 at the time.

Daniel, the boy was orphaned,

Hating Romans was his law,

But he let that vow control him,

That was his greatest flaw.

The group led by Daniel,

Engaged the Romans indeed,

He rescued Joel, but Samson died,

because of his longing for victory.

His anger seemed permanent,

It seemed to be his eternal sin,

But when Jesus healed his sister,

He said to a Roman Come in!
